Aldous Huxley
Would not make a difference if it had been copied, it does no damage to the disk. Infact, this program dvdshrink http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,...escription.html I find does the job very nicely.
steve_b_wales
True. It would not make a difference to the disc if it had been copied, but it would make a difference to me. It's against the law to make a copy of a copy protected DVD/Film without prior permission off the owner of such material. As a law abiding citizen, and, because of the nature of my job, I do not copy anything that I do not own copywrite to. This is why I stated the fact that the DVD was not copied. Be carefull if you do copy discs. If caught, apart from a very hefty fine, you would be deemed as not being a responsible person (breaking the law etc) and would almost be likely to have your gun licence/s revoked permanently. slingshot
Steve i agree with what you say but i think you will find that a copy or possession of a copy is not an offense as long as you own an original you don't need copyright permission, i have a friend who is a DJ and has an extensive collection as you can appreciate, but not one of his original discs leave the house only copies just in case they get damaged and he has checked the law his old man is a solicitor.good bloke to know if you need to check the ins and outs of certain things but back to the start it would only be illegal for you to copy it sell the original and keep the copy as you would no longer own the original it would not affect the buyer in any way just a shame its gone i would have liked to have a look at that oh well lets see if its on youtube
steve_b_wales
I agree. I never keep the original DVD's. I sell them and use the money towards buying others. I suppose that over the years, I have watched and sold at least 50 DVD's. But once I have watched them, I don't think the 2nd time around is as good, so they are sold on. Steve.
