Can you not just send in a form notifying selling of it, then immediately purchase the new rifle. Surely the other user can do the same? I assume this would also be the same as a gentleman with a full cabinet, who gets rid of one gun, and immediately purchases another?

Cannot unscrew .22lr rifle silencer properly
Aldous Huxley replied to Aldous Huxley's topic in Guns & Equipment
I'll try a padded vice later, its jut unbelievable how stuck the ****** is. -
So after only just finding out I should store my .22lr rifle sans silencer on , I cannot now unscrew the thing (I unscrewed it last over a month ago). My VQ Carbon fibre barrel has a 1/2unf adaptor, and I can unscrew that from the barrel, but cannot unscrew the adaptor from the silencer, I assume due to gunk buildup on the thread. Can anyone suggest how to separate the two without a sledge hammer? Thanks in advance.

Are the chambers chromed as well as the barrels?

I'm a paid up basc member. The way this tragic event is handled by BASC will determine whether they get my less than hard earned beer money next year. So far they have shown promise, I hope they keep up the good work by using honestly and logic to defuse any bans on the currently legally held firearms.

Pm me if you have much success with this as we have a small farms with some pigs and would be quite happy to do something like this.

I do not really think you can. Tuition fees are capped at just over £3000 in England, which is very cheap. Certainly foreign students pay around the £20000-£25000 a year to study medicine in Britain and I have heard the true cost to train a medic at uni is around £250,000. Comparatively, most questionable medical schools in the Caribbean for example, want min $40,000 a year, which is a lot of cash. Then there are questionable new europe medical schools, such as in prague which want £7,000 and the retention rate for those courses are very low. However due to EU law doctors from other european institutions (many of which are very good) can work in Britain. Personally I think students should pay the full whack for there fees in most cases, certainly raising tuition fees to £7,000 a year would not be unfair, especially if it allows us to carry on high standards and stay competitive with other countries. -
hand loading 17hmr ammo.
Aldous Huxley replied to matth12321's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
On CCI's website I saw a advert for reloading consumables for .22lr rounds. Seemed one crack shot rolled his own. It seems unnecessary to me, given the fact that you can get batches of ammo in the tens of thousands which goes the sameish speed and the complication of loading rimfire rounds. -

Thats a tinny a week . This is also my attempt to brush up on my northern slang, as I will be pretty deep in the alien area, I'm going to stick out pretty sorely as soon as I speak. -
But there was not a drop of blood anywhere. I know the subtly different sound between mud and rabbit, having wasted alot of time and bullets pulling the trigger as fast as I can at any semi-suitable backstop. I chucked it to the dogs as I have plenty of rabbits frozen.

I wont be renewing my basc membership for several reasons, 1.) Next year I am a med student, so need all the money I can get and I do not think they offer a decent student rate? 2.) I do not find the extras e.g. the magazine, pamphlet, pointless letters to be judicious use of my funds 3.) As for there lobbying, well all they seem able to do is manage to at best claim to be slowing the loss of ground to the uneducated anti-firearm fascists 4.) If I get in legal problems, my best friends fiancée is graduating uni (probably) with a first in law, -
When you peg it, I will be first there with my shovel to unearth you

I just went out onto my field and shot a rabbit. On shooting it I heard a decent thwack as I usually do while using the .22lr semi auto pimp cannon. On inspection however i could find not a mark on the rabbit, certainly nothing on the head (where I was aiming). I gave it a full body pat down and found no blood on my fingers. Did it have a heart attack at the sight of me?

I only shoot on my own land. I have to admit, I would be very wary of allowing anyone on my land, especially when machinery etc and other valuables are easy to locate, not to mention it makes fly tipping easy to do, which is a bloody nightmare.
