sitsinhedges
What's that all about then You go to buy a new gun and take one that you own in part exchange. Suddenly the price of the gun you are purchasing rises by £100 or so to the 'part exchange price' and I assume the gunshop also offers you a derisory sum for your old gun therefore screwing you twice. Are they taking the pee
Imperfection
eh? You mean they've added an additional £100 onto the advertised price the moment trade-in is mentioned? If so,i'd walk away and im sure thats illegal too.
Paddy Galore!
Hello mate! It all depends where you go, most gun shops like to make at least £100 on the sale price of a gun that is traded in. others are a little more greedy. Now, depending on the shop they may charge full list price for any new guns. For example, a beretta silver pigeon 5 retails at around the £2500 mark, this allows the shop to potentially make around £350 on the sale, depending on if he can get away with it or not. Other shops are more honest and make a standard mark up on everything, the problem is finding out where these shops are. If you think you're being stiffed then the best way to demonstrate is not to buy stuff there, cos YES, some of them really do take the pee!
