kyska
Hi All, This is a really silly question, but it will sort a problem out in my head. If I zero off a bipod will that zero be the same no matter what? I ask as I have both HMR and 22LR seroed off the bipod and the .22 seems to be causing me hassle, is it my shooting? if so why is the hmr a bit more forgiving? Can I shoot bunnies in the chest for effective kills with the .22? Done so with the .17, just want to check. Ta Kyska

Ozzy Fudd
bunny chest shots - yes, obv depending on the range as for the zero, it doesnt really change, however if you shoot from a bipod then shoot without one your heads probably in a slightly different position, so that could affect poi. as for hmr being more forgiving, theyre far flatter shooting than a .22lr so that would br right
Paddy Galore!
Hi chap, the only thing i can think of is that from a bipod on the ground the rifle is level, from a standing position you will be changing the angle of the rifle so in effect gravity may have slightly less effect over the same distance. This might be a load of bull so don't quote me on it The HMR has a very flat trajectory, so you probably wont notice as much. I've never had a problem dropping a rabbit with a 22 sub in the chest, it's my favoured kill zone as it doesn't bob up and down like the head!
