cleaner4hire
if you have the time (and the money and some patience!!!) then i would say go for it. I was a little aprehensive about it all but then I bought a 20tac that I have to reload for and was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it actually is. Its probably never going to work out cheaper and as stated getting components can be a just as big a hassle as factory stuff. But down range it shows it benefits.. if your into that sort of thing!!! ps i prefer 87 vmax in
Dunkield
As has already been said, there you go Pavman... http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...=113051&hl= A bargain at only 800 quid
monkeymagic1969
He doesn't need all that gear in one hit and most of it is for bench rest quality ammo anyway - he could buy a much cheaper press and reloading set up he could probably source most of what he need for less than £200 - What's that, 8/9 boxes of factory ammo? al4x
or probably the equivalent of a years worth of ammo
garyb
But...Only if you can actually buy it!
monkeymagic1969
Maybe a years worth of ammo now - but costs will then only come down and you can reload for about £0.60p a round as opposed to £1.25 and above for factory stuff You will Also get consistent ammo that you know your gun likes But if you are insistant on not reloading, then it ain't worth trying to convert you!!!!!!!!!! garyb
Good yet cheap reloading setups come up all the time... Stealth Stalker for example, picked his up for under £250 for .243 He also said... he wouldn't reload For me... I got fed up of touring the local shops being told... "oh sorry we don't have any Norma / Federal in at the mo... how about these Winchesters / Remingtons" meaning pointless re-zero and a waste of ammo / time. Now I buy 300 odd heads at a time (£16 per 100) a couple of tubs of powder (£30 a tub) , and say 500 odd primers. (£2.50 per 100)
