lurcherboy
This is for the running dog boys although it may apply to others. I massage my dogs leg and neck muscles for a few minutes and generally give him a good massage before letting him run. The question is, do any of you use any oils etc. If so what do you use? Shop bought or homemade? LB
Yorkshire Pudding
Make sure the boy gets a good trot on his lead before any action . But same as you , massage and a towel/coat . Also massage and keep boy warm with a towel after a bit of excersize . all the best yis yp

new to the flock
LB I usually try to give my dogs a nice easy warm up...usually a good walk at a fast clip and then a little jog, before they get reall going. That said at the end of a long run I like to wash their legs down with warm water and absorbine senior mix...(horse liminant).....diluted to about 25%. I just find it lets the muscles come back down at a nice even pace and eliminates a lot of morning stiffness. NTTF
