Cranfield Posted October 5, 2005 Report Share Posted October 5, 2005 Unless you have recently changed your cartridges , or loads, I suspect the reason could be your use of the word "old" to describe the gun. apbuild Posted October 5, 2005 Report Share Posted October 5, 2005 As Cranfield says, the loads you are using may be causing a problem. Try using a slightly heavier load if possible and see how that is. i.e 28g instead of 24g. When was the last time you cleaned your gun thoroughly? A dirty action and bolt may cause a problem. Bazooka Joe Posted October 5, 2005 Report Share Posted October 5, 2005 Wally, I've a Auto 5 Browning. Just changing your cartridge can stop the re-cycling. Auto 5 is chambered for 70mm, I tried using 65mm, wouldn't work, kept on shooting two off in quick succession, then jamming the third. Hope this is your problem. Bazooka Joe. beezer Posted October 8, 2005 Report Share Posted October 8, 2005 I use an old franchi and I had this trouble a lot untill I found out the trouble. Now it fires anything over 30 g . Take off the barrel and at the end of the mag tobe is a plastic ring, running in a grove in this ring is a steel ring . Make sure that tha gaps where the rings join are in line.
