Dunkield Posted October 6, 2005 Report Share Posted October 6, 2005 We have a JRT cross, who has been losing hair steadily throughout the summer. Unfortunately this is continuing now even though the weather has cooled down a tad, and he's starting to look very pink not only on his belly but moving up his sides. What he has lost is what fly tyers would call the 'gaurd hair' (which is the fluffy stuff that stays closest to the body, for those unfamiliar with the term) He does scratch quite a bit but, is free from fleas, he has now got a flea collar on as well as a precaution , he was scratching before we put that on so hopefully that eliminates that too. My missus is threatening to take him to the vet, but before I cough up 30 quid or whatever it will cost me does anyone have any ideas what may cause this? Help! Does that change any or the answers above? I am going to speak to the man about Camorosa, see what he says too. Thanks for all the input guys.
