Cranfield
Just a bit, but its the way the decoy can fall halfway down the stem on a windy day thats the real nuisance. I dumped mine and got some more spring sticks.

Westcountryman
A good few of my decoys don't have a base that would suit a spring stick. The wobblers I got from the bay fit into the top of my decoys and don't come loose.
Cosd
The answer to your question is yes, the wobblers can shine or glint on a sunny day which will put the woodies off. Get yourself some Matt grey spray paint and spray the wobblers from the top down, leaving 2" - 3" which sticks in the ground.
