mickmep
like my 303, very nice gun for the money and spent most of its life in my mates cabinet so in very good nick. some do look a bit tired though. uses mobile chokes if you want to change them, i think some of the later 302's use these as well. cycles 28g clay loads fine couple of the youngsters at the clay club have a 301 or 302 with the old type chokes and it seems a pretty similar gun, also never seen it jam or miss feed in the year i've been going. think you'll find they are all chambered for 2 3/4 inch carts. but someone will be abe to confirm this. if you look around you will probably find a 391 for a little more which are 3" chambered and a bit lighter on the recoil. Dekers
I had a 303 which I originally bought new in 1989 or 1990 I think, excellent gun, never let me down, didn't like the cartridges too light but always worked, my lad cut his teeth on it and loved it. Saw a new 391 at a Clay shoot about 9-10 years back and fell in love with it, the guy let me try it and it was a gem, seems to fit me better as well and a much narrower forend which I just fell into. Anyway I bought one almost immediately and the 303 never came out of the cabinet again until I sold it about 3 years ago...BIG mistake really as my lad was in love with it. Anyway, great gun the 303, but as time moves on so do other things...certainly no complaints though!!
