ash243
i have been asked to make a leather lace up one of these as the customer wants to put it over a comb raiser. How many or you lads carry ammunition stock sleeve what are the pit falls of these i have never used one just wondered what you think would make the best improvements to it

AndyCM
Cater for the sling swivel and your there, I find these most useful on lamping trips - one less thing in my pocket is good
ash243
Cater for the sling swivel and your there, Good point Andy that's why i thought if lacing it up and it would allow for the change in the height for the comb raiser
sandersj89
I use one but it has a zip cover over the ammo to help pretect it and also reduce the risk of anything dropping out when it should not. It also allows access to the rear swivel point. Other than that I find then very good, safe way to carry a few rounds and no jingling brass in my pocket as I put empty rounds in the slots as well. monkeymagic1969
Have a look at the Eagle Industies one - these are the bench mark which others try to copy http://www.eagleindustries.com/product.php...t=88&page=1 I also have a lace up leather stock sleeve ( made from saddle leather and padded) - i think one with bullet holders on the side would be an excellent bit of kit Edited February 23, 2010 by monkeymagic1969
libs
Gonna knock the cast of the gun slightly right? Even if the leather is thin its still going to change the 'shape' of the stock... Maybe more of a problem on a shotgun but it may still be an issue.

Dekers
Well lads thanks for all the comments here is my interpretation of the product not bad for a mock up model I think I should work Too be fair it does look a cracking bit of kit, but it will change the gun fit and balance a bit , only marginal and something most field shooters should be able to get used to....I take it you are a Lefty!!
