sanibel686
NOW SOLD THANKYOU This is an english hammer gun with 30" damascus brls chokes measure 0.719 and 0.712 (1/4?). The brls are beautiful swirl damascus which are the crowning glory of the gun, they have a couple of pits toward the muzzle end but nothing at all I would worry about (I bought it to use myself) BP proofed. Action is a little loose. Length of pull is 14 1/4" to front trigger. The forend has a horn tip and the stock has a pronounced tiger stripe (fiddleback) in it. One hammer has been braze repaired and you can see a small repair to the right lock these are both very old repairs and have developed a patina of their own. I only bought this gun recently as a project but as I now cannot avoid having to put my guns in to storage due to licence renewal delays I thought I might as well have a bit of a thin out. £175 now £165 now £155 Collected or your RFD can arrange to pick up direct from me (costs around £25 with TNT). I would also consider a small Hague or Alan Wood skinner or similar quality knife Bottom gun in this pic ere you can see the old brazed repair to the hammer and lock Edited March 7, 2010 by sanibel686

Aldous Huxley
can it take smokless cartridges, thomas black powder proofed means no nitro carts, unless you intend to run the risk of ruining your chances of ever being a surgeon. Blackpowder
These are really splendid barrels, with an unusual broad rib for a gun of this vintage. Good luck with the sale. Blackpowder

Blackpowder Yes the rib is a tad under 10mm (sorry for mixing my dimensions there, whilst milimetres are metric, tads are of course imperial!) Also please see price reduction, after sunday this will be going into storage for what I have been told today is now an 11 week delay in the Northumbria renewals process.
