I would like to thank Will Beasley for the shooting day he gave to NTTF and myself (stand-in for Ernyha R.I.P) and the FREE laundrette service on all our tackle he laid on for us.

MAN, did it rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

We arrived at Will's place nice & early and then decided to pop back up the road to TESCO'S for a breakfast and then met up with Will & his Dad (easy on the handshakes, boys) and 3/4 others who were out for the day.

 

We all set off to the shoot and I am sure another few miles and NTTF would have been back home.

 

On arrival there were hundreds of pigeons flitting about and we set up on a stubble field and then the RAIN came and came & came.

 

We were having no joy and Will drove round to us and promptly put all our gear into his truck and we moved to an adjacent field and after finally getting a couple of pigeons for the magnet we put it out and the pigeons started to move in.

 

BUT the rain would not give up and up went the brolly many many times.

 

In between the rain we were now getting some action and dropped 61 birds in the end. Not bad in the extremely wet conditions.(I missed my Springer)

 

another experience for NTTF .

 

I must say; the way Will kept on checking that we were having a good day was to be RECOMMENDED and but with nicer weather we would have had many more.

 

Anyone interested in a DAYS SHOOTING laid on should give them a ring.

A hardy Thank You to Will, he runs a first class pigeon service, and to Dave for coming with me. I had a great time.

 

I will post some more on this shoot in a couple of days ...once I get my fershlugana camera working again.
