shawi72uk
Just done my first ever batch of Rhubarb Vodka Should be ready for 1st of may MMMMMMM Rhubarb Vodka Ingredients 600 g fresh rhubarb, chopped 300 g sugar 1 litre vodka You'll also need a couple of really big jars. Test to make sure the lids keep liquid in the jars even when the jars are shaken. Directions You've got two great big jars handy? Good. Put half the rhubarb, half the sugar, and half the vodka into each jar. Put lids on jars. Shake jars. Now hide those jars away in a dark cupboard somewhere. Give them a shake once a week or so, or when you remember. After 6-8 weeks, try it. Yummy The rhubarb pieces will look lovely in your vodka, but you want to strain them out. If you don't strain them out, they'll eventually turn greyish, and the colour of your vodka won't be nearly as nice.

alexr
We make cherry brandy each year with the cherries off the tree at the front of the house. Equal quantaties of brandy, sugar and cherries. Leave for as long as you can keep your hands off it ( about three months ). Drink the brandy and use the cherries in a pudding, any pudding. Try not to drive the next day. Edited March 10, 2010 by alexr
