Evoss
Hey Guys, I havent used My SAKO Quad .22LR for about a month and took it out today. I had a spotting scope with me that me and a mate we alternating between. I was lining the sight up and found it quite hard to see though. I then looked at the spotting scope and was much more clear. Any ideas or fixes to brighten it up a bit? Thanks

tango
maybe the spotting scope has a better quality lens, or lets more light in ect..cant really brighten up a scope, apart from buying a better one

Breastman
Have you tried it in different lighting conditions - bright sunlight in front and behind, indoors, overcast etc etc? Lower end scopes can vary wildly in the clarity you get depending on the light available. I've got an MTC Viper on my Quad and depending on where the sun is/whether theres any cloud etc etc the picture is either as good as my Leupold mk4 or milked over like an eye with cataracts! Other than that, have you knocked the scope recently? If you've compromised the gas seal in the scope body and the nitrogen has escaped that could b0ll0x up the image. If you have done that its time for a new scope i'm afraid Mark Edited March 16, 2010 by Breastman
