In my garden there are one to many magpies so i thought i will get a larsen trap. Has anyone tried it out in a garden ;) The garden is not very big 10m by 6m?? what are the best traps and how should i go about it.

Hello,

Yes your garden is big enough, I tried a multi catch metal trap all I caught were my Pekin hens it was far to sensitive.

I am now using a traditional wooden trap you can buy them off the big auction site just type in Larsen Trap.

Mine is a single catch trap but i am going to make a double catch. Had I of used a double yesterday I would of caught two magpies instead of the one.

Good luck

I've caught loads of magpies in my back garden, also every cat in the neighbourhood, that's going to be your biggest problem.

Cat.

Never caught a cat, even though I have had two for years. Probably because I gave half a dozen Border Terriers on the garden though :( h

I have seen a photo of a fox caught in one though.

Buy a Larsen off FATBOY on ebay for £50 item number 320517090370 if it is no good drop it off at my house and I will give you £20 for it

You cannot go wrong!
