holly
you would find it very slow for such a large job you need an airless spray system most hire shops have them
Tank
Looks like a low pressure, high volume sprayer. I used one of these years ago to respray a car. Took ages and the spray wasn't really fine enough to give a smooth finsh. Plus I have no talent for spraying
poontang
I use a HVLP system at work for paints/lacquers. They're a little more 'refined' than Dulux Weathershield and the like but if you set the gun up right you shouldn't have a problem. Be aware though that even on a still day you'll get overspray, so make sure everything's well masked. Especially your neighbours car!! game_boy
Cheers Chaps. So should be ok with this? I would hire one from HSS and alike bu they're £170+ for a weeks hire. At least if we buy one will still have it after a week rather than taking the on-hire back.

pegleg31
sorry to change the subject but is a HVLP good enough to spray a car with?.
Tank
sorry to change the subject but is a HVLP good enough to spray a car with?. I was using cellulose paint on an A35. It came up OK in the end, but I wouldn't say it was the greatest job in the world. However, I totally admit that I'm not the greatest at this and it was about 15 years ago so technology has probably moved on a little too. Hope this helps.
Paddy Galore!
sorry to change the subject but is a HVLP good enough to spray a car with?. the more expensive systems are ok, a lot less hassle than conventional compressors as no water can get in the system.
