TomV
Had an experience when you've just loaded a new cartridge into the chamber and close the gun and BANG its fired on its own. Happended to me today, dint half **** me up. When loading I always ensure I point the barrels in a safe direction but still give you a shock especially when you see what it does to the ground. Why wouuld this happen? I played it safe and packed up after this happened
Paddy Galore!
might just be that the gun wasn't fully cocked, or worn sears. try it again with snap caps and see what happens.

Ricko
I suppose the old adage 'know your gun' is relevant I am paranoid about this happening and am always inspecting faces, pins etc Bad one!
Paddy Galore!
That's the problem with 2nd hand guns, you never know what's wrong until you try it. i had a pedretti hushpower and the damn thing opened up on me when i fired it, also had an old miroku 3800, with worn out ejector legs, the carts used to get wedged in behind them and jam shut, went wildfowling, had two shots, and that was it for the day. Both these incidents happened on the first day of ownership.
