Dekers
hi alli've got firearms licence for 22lr on 2 permissions i want to get 177hmr on my ticket, i know i have to fill in variation but does anyone know if they will just grant it for the same use as the 22lr or will i have to give more info..?? Odds are they will want to know why, you have to justify each calibre, hopefully not too difficult though here!!

Billy.
Before you muck up your variation, it's a .17HMR

Frenchieboy
With regards to jsutifying the 2 different yet similar calibers the way I did mine was to say I wanted the 17HMR for long range (Day time) vermin control and the .22LR (With moderator) for close range shooting i.e. while on the lamp at night time. Dekers
do i need to fill in the refrences again? and give more photos? Not normally, so don't bother, if they have further questions or issues they will ask! But they want more money, £26, unless you are giving them something back!! WGD
No references are required for a variation. Justification is that .22LR doesn't have the range of the .17HMR, but the HMR does not offer any subsonic ammunition.
