PAULT
223 simples
bennyblanco
Very little difference in performance and accuracy but less and less manufacturers are chambering guns in .222 and there should always be a bigger choice in factory ammunition in .223 If you are going to reload then either will be a winner. cooter
.223 with a fast twist will give you a large range of bullet weights to choose from. .222 slightly cheaper to reload, but not much in it. Large range of factory ammo available for the .223.
SSS
I'd go .223 in this choice, wider range of factory ammunition and slightly better ballistics
bullet boy
Have you considered 22-250?

Tommo
the warrener uses .223 think thats a good enough reason to get one The warrener should not be a reason to own a gun! Do you honestly think a person like that buys their kit?! No, they get it given and they mention it at every opportunity in the press - As for the .222 and the .223 argument - yawn - sorry but this gets done to death... Also Lez, why ask the question after you've bought a .222? Surely it should have come before?!

Tommo
Lez, I do apologise - i was scan reading whilst another work page was open and sort of scanning both at the same time! - Or l could just be going mad -which is more likely! Another beer will sort it out.... T
cooter
Tommo, you must know Les. He does normally buy something then asks himself why he did it. Is it right Les that you swapped so many guns last year that your FAC looked like a dyslexic word search puzzle?
Beardo
how about Robert Bucknell if you don't like The Warrener name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="480" height="385">
Tommo
Sorry mate but i wouldn't get on with him....personally l dont think his lamping technique is safe - he may well never miss, but freehand shots with no prop/sticks is not safe practice in my opinion especially with a round like .223! Just my opinion mind... T Edited March 27, 2010 by Tommo
