Coney Basher
You either do it yourself (if you are an engineer and follow guidance issued by the proof house) or, much easier, you give it to a gunsmith who does it for you. Either way, it has to go to the proof house after it is done, and a certificate of deactivation is issued. C-B
Dougy
What you need is a blind man and an angle grinder, I personaly think its disgusting what they do to them, the engineering and engraving on some of the ones i have seen is amazing, then an angle grinder is set loose on them accross the pins and under the chamber
Vince Green
A lot of guns that are deactivated are damaged by the heat from the angle grinder. When the handgun ban came it a friend of mine had a couple of his pistols deactivated. They totally ruined the bluing and had colour rings round all the bits that had been sliced.
