Oly
I presently have a 12 bore Beretta Urika (first version) synthetic stock AL391 30" barrel and love it, but I would like EXACTLY the same gun but with a wooden stock. Are any of the other models EXACTLY the same, but with a wooden stock, or are they slightly different shapes etc? Thanks in advance, Oly
BlaserF3
Hi Oly, They are all the same, just different wood/synthetic stocks, the receivers are the same and as long as it's fitted with optima chokes the forend is the same. Did you sell your Miroku?
Oly
Ok, well that makes it easy! Just cna't find anything on gmk or beretta's website to confirm. Yes, Miroku went litterally within minutes of going on guntrader at my original price!

Oly give this some serious thought as i have a urika 2 xtra wood and im not keen on the finnish, its like a thick varnish and if it gets knocked it splinters like broken plastic looks terrible,i believe beretta say they will re-finnish them if they get too bad but thats time lost shooting anyway your decision just thought id let you know BM

The basic idea being to give a brilliant wood/grain look..you seem have found some of the dissadvantages!

I certainly have and will steer as many people away from them as i can ,not that the gun doesnt perform, its the best gun i have shot with shoots to point etc ,but within most shooters there is a want to keep your gun looking in a 1 condition but it takes nowt to harm these babies,i even caught the stock through pushing the key into the lock on my cabinet and it left a splintered dimple what you can do ****all about but you dont know this till youve spent your hard earned if i ever dropped it id be mortified Edited March 28, 2010 by berettaman
mickmep
if you want a timber stock, you want xtragrain finish, its a grain enhancement finish to a decent piece of wood. xtrawood is a laminate applied to a rubbish piece of wood, looks fake and plasticy. my opionion anyway, others may not share the same views.
