Beretta silver pigeon universal

HI ALL.

 

Does anyone own one of these.

 

Have you used it on game and on clays.

 

Thinking of buying one and would appreciate some feed back

As far as I can tell they appear to be a rehashed silver pigeon S.

 

I think it's a bit rich to call a fixed choke gun universal, nevertheless I love my 'S'

Same thing with me, I had a Pigeon S and fit was a mile out. A certain member of this forum taped a bar towel around the stock to make it fit better.

Shooting a MK38 Sporter now and it's a much better fit.

Be wary if you want to shoot magnum steel as well, the universal does not have superior proof where as the silver pigeon s does.

 

I was on the verge of buying one for rough shooting and duck flighting and it was just by chance when at the counter I checked for the fleur de lys symbol and it only had 1200 bar proofing. Even the RFD did not realize they were not subjected to the normal higher proof.

 

Back on the shelf it went.

Well i love my s an never going to sell it knocks clays, crows, pigeons, and pheasants ( some times ) good sold pice of kit and if the fits not quite right you can buy a thicker butt pad or a Gel-Tek pad and adjust yourself with a screw driver

Same here , sold the Pigeon S and bought a Miroku MK38 Sporter, what an improvement
