ESTIBAN
I am looking into buying a .243. I also have a slot for a .223 for fox. The question is do you all use dedicated calibres for certain styles or if i go for a 243 can this be simply used also on fox (i know it can be but what would you do)when required saving me 2 guns thanks
BJ401
Ahh the age old 243 debate.... depending on what you shoot, where you shoot you will have numerous responses to this question I was faced with the same choice a few years ago,i opted for the 243 and it has served me well.I have shot plenty of Fallow with none running off also shot plenty of foxes it suits me well for what i do . The choice is yours, as a good friend said to me you can only shoot one at a time! Good luck in your choice BJS
The Reverend
"Pedant mode on" 'Utilise'. Interesting choice of word, do you intent to use your .243 for something it wasn't made to do? To use is to do just that, using a tool for the purpose it was intended. To 'utilise' is to use something for a purpose it wasn't made for. "Pedant mode off." Paddy Galore!
did you put fox down on your application for both calibres?
steve_b_wales
You should'nt need a .223 if you have applied for a .243. The latter is a brilliant foxing caliber.
