Beretta Victory Chokes and Sporting Vest

I bought a 686E from a guy who didn't want to split the rest of his gear in the sale. So as I've either already got, or have no need for, these items then they are now for sale.

All the items are inclusive of postage or you can come and pick them up if local and I'll knock off the postage costs.

First up are these Beretta Victory extended chokes in Light Modified (3/8) and Light Full (7/8). Would take £53 the pair or £27 each.

Next is a GMK (Beretta) Sporting vest in large (@ 44" chest). Unbelievably my old vest of twenty plus years ago still fits me otherwise I would keep this as it's a good bit of kit. Lots of pockets and leather trimmings, material back not mesh. There's a CPSA patch on the breast pocket which has been added. Think they cost @ £80 new so £33 delivered.

Are they like these ones for £28 from Donaldson Guns

Your ones must be different and really "special".

Is it just me who gets bored of people flogging massively over priced gear in the sales section?

Ok mungler you seemed to want to make a public example of me. Thanks for the welcome, most appreciated.

Fact. As I've previously stated I've just got back into shooting and don't really know the cost of all these bits and pieces

Fact. I did a google to find out the cost of these accessories and the results chucked up prices @ £40 a choke which I based these values on. These seemed reasonable to me.

You seem to want to cast me in the light of some sort of rip off merchant which I find objectionable and insulting. You are obviously a long standing member of the forum and prolific poster who considers it self righteous to police these 'for sales items' on behalf of the whole pigeonwatch community, whether you have any personal interest or not.

I'll tell you what makes me bored. People who jump in with both feet without getting their facts correct and seizing any opportunity to have a pop at somebody from behind a keyboard. I presume that it took a little while to have a good search to find out the best possible price of these chokes to project me in the worst light possible? And where did I say they were 'really special'? Oh yeah, sorry, just got it - keyboard sarcasm.

If you had simply pointed out this via a private message then I really wouldn't mind and would alter the prices accordingly but no, lets go for all out public humiliation instead.

By the way if you try to order some via the Donaldson website it comes up as out of stock and you have to leave your email address so they can contact you when they are back in stock. Nice one mungler, at least I checked.

Anyway back to the thread.

In the light of new information I will take £43 posted the pair of chokes or £22 posted each. Or is that too much mungler? If so please let everyone know.

Regards

ILC

Are the chokes the same ones as these and which are £30 each new from the shops?

This was the polite indication that your second hand chokes were over priced.

I thought it was fairly low key. It made no comment other than to direct you to previously sold chokes for much less. Rather than accept that they could be over priced you suggested the post and prices were out of date.

Good luck with your sale.

Nice one Mr. Hookbones at last some humour I can contend with

Would prefer a swap tho' for some of the toys that I've lost around my pram :/

Yes I did suggest that the prices were out of date because the thread that you linked to was dated March 2006. A fair current comparison is one thing but to compare prices with stuff 4 years ago is irrelevant. As you can see I've listened to what people have said and lowered the prices.

PM wesman, about the vest
