Frenchieboy
I know it's Saturday Morning and not still Friday Evening now (I'm not quite that thick yet, but I'm working on it!) but what was I doing on Friday Evening/Night? He, he, he, I was out zeroing the Bruno Fox (.222) that arrived for me. I scoped it up with a set of 8X56 scopes and (Flamin' expensive £38.50) mounts and went out to try it (Typical "Kid with a new toy"). Only needed to fire a few shots through it to get it right(ish). The first shot was at 25 yards and was about 1 inch high and 3 inches left, made some adjustments and tried a second shot at the same target/range - straight through the centre of a 1 inch bulls eye. Put a new target out at 100 yards, the first shot was a bit high so readjusted the scope and tried again. Next three shots were all within 1 inch of a 1 inch bulls eye so that was good enough for me using Prvi Partizan 50gr SP till Sunday when I hope to be going out to the range to "fine tune" it and try it at 100, 150 and 200 yards! Also took the 17HMR with me as well to my "Zeroing Ground" as I had just cleaned it and put another set of scopes on it (Which I am not happy with, they are 4-12 X 40mm and I prefere to use a minimum of 50mm so they will likely be up for sale as soon as I get a new set of 50mm scopes for it) Again tried it at 25 yards initially, reset the adjustments and then out to 100 yards. A bit of fine tuning and was managing to hit the 1 inch Bull pretty consistently. The only problem I am finding is that I can quite often "clover leaf" 4 out of 5 shots at 100 yards but one shot always seems to go a bit (Usually about 3/4 - 1 inch) wild, can't work out why that happens. Anyway, happy with my efforts though for a Friday Evening so it was back home and attack a box of Canned Guinness the wife had bought for me. That was the best part of the evening! strongski
Marty is in with tv, no beer for me due to anti biotics. Which in itself aint too bad, but they're to stop me getting infection in the pins ive just had put into my two broken hands. I could live with that if i hadnt flipped the Ninja on a bit of spilled diesel to get them and smashed half of it to **** rags. So no beer, no shooting, no work, cant even hold the lamp. lifes been better, but i still wouldnt swap spots with yp. sorry to hear about the hands hows the bike
