chezza1986
Going to buy some new cartridges soon to go pigeon shooting. I useually use 32g 6 shot load and this size cartridge seems to work well for me but am going to try a few different brands to see which one works best with me and my gun. Any suggestions on what you have found to be a good make. Thanks.
SSS
I always use express pigeon special for everything. My mate uses Eley HB pigeon 32 gram #6 1/2, but I dont rate them
MattSoanes
If you can get them, get some Victory Rocket 29gr 6s, awesome cartridge IMO I always use them for Game and Pigeon shooting and find they do the job for me.

Redgum
I have tried many brands of cartridge for pigeon but I always end up with eley hiflyiers 30g 6's as I can usually get them at a good price. Having spent hours with my pattern plate and playing with Briley chokes I have come to the conclusion that gun fit, shooting skill ( practicing with clays ), field craft and choosing the correct chokes for the type of shooting your doing will make far more differance than the make of cartridge your using. My father was a well known competion shot in his day and he would use all his odds and **** for pigeon shooting, no 9 skeet to homeloads with dody crimps and he would crumple pigeons well out in the field and he would say, ' if your on em you'll bring em down with the wad.' If your decoying pigeons and your fluffin a few feathers out of their behinds its not the make of cartridge, though it can be a bit of a shallow excuse. chezza1986
This is very true about it not being about brand to an extent because I think it's about a confidence factor you get when you shoot what you might feel to be a good load that helps alot. I'm not naturally a good shot and rarely get time and money to practice on the clays since the recession. When I did some clay shooting i was hitting most things with my dad's old odds and **** but when I spent a bit and got some shells I felt were good I always got a better result so my thinking was that this wil be the same for pigeon shooting. Thanks all for your tips
