flyingfisherman
Maybe a silly question, but are all full bore moderators such as reflex, wildcat etc all interchangable between calibres, obviously you need the correct thread and bush size. Cheers, FFM

flyingfisherman
ive just put the mod off my 223 on to my 243.only problem was that i had to have the rear bush widened(reflex t8) Thats what im wanting to do, put my T8 from my .223 onto my .308, the good thing is that the rifles are the same, just different calibres, so the rear bush is fine. I thought that there wouldnt be any implications, just wanted to check.
markbivvy
Thats what im wanting to do, put my T8 from my .223 onto my .308, 223 or 5.56 mm= 308 or 7.62 mm. as i said. sure if the exit hole is big enough you will get away with it
Dekers
Thats what im wanting to do, put my T8 from my .223 onto my .308, the good thing is that the rifles are the same, just different calibres, so the rear bush is fine. I thought that there wouldnt be any implications, just wanted to check. STOP!!! Baffle hole diameter T8 Standard baffle apertures are 7.5 mm , 8,5 mm, 10,5 mm and 13.0 mm. As a rule, the bullet caliber (bullet actual diameter ) plus at least one millimetre gives the exit aperture diameter. 7.5 mm hole takes 222, 223, 22-250, 6mm, 243, etc. 8.5 mm hole takes 6.5mm 270, 7mm, 308 , 30-06 etc. 10.5 mm hole takes 9.3mm, 338 etc. 13 mm hole takes 45-70 etc. If you have the .223 hole size of 7.5mm then your .308 is actually 7.62mm and will cause serious grief!! The Predator 8 has even more baffle sizes...BE CAREFUL!!!! Edited April 10, 2010 by Dekers

SSS
If the T8 says 30 cal on it, it will be fine, if not, dont bloody use it for christs sake!
flyingfisherman
well this was the reason i asked as it doesnt say anything on it, regarding calibre anyway. Dekers, thanks for that info, where did you find it? For future reference.. Hmm, need to get another silencer for the .308!

CharlieT
Well posted Dekers. Both my T8's are stamped. One says 25 cal the other 30 cal. With the appropriate bush and wording on my fac I swap them between various calibers.
