Frenchieboy
I've just come across this thread in the "Off Topic" section which another member has kindly posted but I thought it might be more noticable on here: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...howtopic=122293 Certainly sounds a good and thoughtful offer! MM
Cheers FB. would love to see a dog go to a good home, and someone get a working dog. I might add i dont even know the person getting rid, but hate seeing dogs un-loved.
al4x
just be very careful if you're interested, its 8 so not much working left in it and were it to have a health condition that was going to require long term medication could be a reason its being given away. Personally an 8 year old dog will be happy with little work so I don't entirelybuy the excuse apart from the fact of who gives away their long term shooting companion
fatjoe
yeah i thought it was a bit strange to give away a companion of 8 yrs, im with al4x sounds a bit suspicious.
Frenchieboy
That might well be the case but I would prefer to see any dog go to a good home where it is going to be well cared for and appreciated. Even if the dog does have a few faults or problems it isn't normally the dogs fault so (In my opinion) it deserves a second chance in life! My wife and I regularly foster and assess dogs for Manchester Dogs Home and we come across so many dogs with so many different problems, even some that are almost on the point of being beyond help, but we are still prepared to give them the second chance that we feel they deserve! al4x
It isn't Frenchie but if you rehome one to find it needs £100 plus of drugs a month and copious vets bills then you do end up a bit stuck with it. That age dog is not one to look at without your eyes wide open
