road-runner Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 hi need some advice.been useing these 2-way radio,s for about a year.they where ok to start with but now seem to be un-useable because of distortion.got volume turned down still can`t understand a word. is it worth getting them repaired? or junk them. CZ550Kevlar Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 A new set will set you back £30 to be honest i would take a look on the maplins website as they always seem to have 2 way radios on sale with the same specs but less money, repairs are going to cost you more in the long run. CZ550Kevlar Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 Thats the problem witht the newer 2 way radios, they are so small and contain a ton of tiny sensitive electronics that diagnostics and or repair are pretty pointless as they tend to be a disposable thing once it goes.
