inthedark
After a couple of weeks with both hands in pot after a bike spill, I'm now just waiting to have these pins pulled out and I'm back in business! One goes straight across about half way, and the other two are diagonal just short of the wrist. To all the motor cyclists on here, after many years of trouble free riding I thought I was safe. Appears not, do please take care.

inthedark
They're just rubber covers over the end of the pins to stop them catching anything. Tidy.
gixer1
So what actually happened? was it someone elses fault or self inflicted?

inthedark
Embarasingly self inflicted. Finished work at 03.30, at the first roundabout there was a taxi incoming so I applied a little front brake and the combination of cold tarmac, cold tyres and and a little grit did the rest. Gutted. ZX9RC1 so you'll be needing a fairing, rearset, clip on, engine casing, seat fairing, mirror, end can.... and possibly a subframe... Its got crash buttons so not too bad, 'just' a few bits of plastic. At least it didn't flip over.
