There are some fine air powered guns out there some of which can produce near equivalent rimfire ft lb power. Attempting to shoot a full grown hare with a 12ft lb air rifle is something a sportsman simply would not do. Why? Because it is the wrong tool for the job. Simple. I think you should have a go, just once, at HFT or FT, because shooting like you do, you would win every time. But ofcourse whatever reason, you won't.
