hamster123
as mentioned i have not been shooting that long and i was wondering if it would be beneficial to add a crow on the outer of my deek pattern thank s
stubby
Ive added a magpie deek, not that it bought any down, but have just got a crow one, others I know use them with pigeons with success
Lez325
works sometimes - but place the Crow well away from you deek pattern Les
Cranfield
If you see crows feeding near pigeons on the same crop, then it is a good idea. If you don't , then I can't see it being any advantage. I don't buy into the, "wary crow/rook being there gives pigeons confidence", theory. Sometimes, I have had good bags of both pigeons and crows/rooks on harvested maize, some wheat drillings and flowering peas.
UKPoacher
I always add one on the outer edge of my decoy pattern. Primarily it is to attract other crows or magpies. If I get a mangled or bloody pigeon I'll pop it next to the crow as an added attraction.
