vole
I have the range I shoot at and a farm on my ticket. There is another farm where I use SG where they would be happy for me to use rimfire. It has been passed for centrefire. How do I go about adding it to my conditions please? Also is it ok for me to zero a rifle on someones property where he uses his rimfire? Do I need to check with the feo? Thanks and much appreciated

Thanks and much appreciated hello,i would of thought that if the land has been passed for centrefire it would be ok for rimfire.don't think that it has to be added to your ticket.on mine it states- on any land that has been deamed suitable by the chief constable.if your not sure give the feo a call, they won't be annoyed at you asking for advice,i'm sure they will point you in the right direction.i have used my rimfire on many farms and have never had any problems.as for zeroing in on someone's property as long as its their land or have the shooting rights can't see there being a problem.hope this helps------Dave
vole
Thanks Dave. I actually did phone the feo,she was being really helpful then when it came to this issue there was a knock on the door ( double glazing) and my dog went mental so I never properly heard her answer. She did confirm that it was passed for cf though,I heard that bit. It says on my ticket too that I can shoot on land deemed suitable by Chief of Police. Redgum
You can shoot on any land that has been passed for the calibre you are using, you can check with the FEO each time but its ok to go on the word of the land owner( even better get it in writing). Most forces will usually let you use .17hmr on land passed for .22LR.

activeviii
I have just been asked to clear the rabbits on a patch of land that has been cleared for big calibres, phoned the FLO to say i have the permission and a signed copy was on its way to them, can i go ahead and shoot on there, NO! not until i have written consent from the chief man. still waiting for them to send me the letter. whilst typing this i have just had an email to say that i can go ahead. how freaky is that.
