quick question

how often should i clean my hw100 barrel. as in the inside pull through...... if i just leave it will it start shooting slower. .... or if i pull it through then zero in will it change zero after its go lead residue back ? any help would be brill

Others might tell you different but i would never clean the inside bore of air rifle

if used often it stays mirror bright

I did it once, and the gun shot all over the place, you could shoot a couple of those felt cleaning wads through the barrel if you want, I wouldn`t recommend using a bore brush either.

 

I just lube my pellets and that keeps the bore nice and shiney.

everyone has different opinions about this. personally i always wash my pellets so there is very little lead dust in the barrel. if i was using very dirty pellets i would clean my barrel. i only ever clean my barrel after i have put wet or dirty pellets through it to stop rust. i just use the furry thing on the bisley cleaning kit.

As long as you use normal pellets then there should be very few occasions you need to clean the barrel, even with heavy use.

 

Perhaps the odd drop of oil, and make sure you keep the crown in good condition.

On my FAC I shoot 1 oiled flet then 4 dry ones then a few pellets after that after 500/600 shots but only when groups open up as standard guns only when wont group anymore but never a brush just felts. You can use filters from roll ups when 22.

I never clean my air rifles unless they suddenly start shooting all over the shop. Ive put 1500 pellets through my s410 this last 18 months and never cleaned it once.
