Hey guys. I've just heard that the new range facility from Gloucestershire Gun Company is open from now and I just got my invite for their official launch party over weekend of 12th and 13th June. Alastair tells me there will be a range of new guns to shoot, including the latest R8 from Blaser and the new .338 Lap Mag Barrett!! Give him a call for an invite as I'm sure he'd be happy to see you - 01285 740898. With a bit of luck I'll be there zeroing the new .338 Win Mag I've just ordered from him. If that's not in yet I'll probably take my .17 Ackley Hornet or the combi gun.

The range sounds really good and I know a lot of work has gone into it. It will be great for shooters in this area too, we didn't really have a local range until this one opened! I've been looking forward to this since he mentioned it to me several months ago.

Anyone who's dropping by stick a post on here. Maybe we could have a little forum meet up at the same time?

I doubt it it got posted on here and I think on James Marchingtons blog, basically it was a video of some night vision gear he was using and to say he couldn't hit a cows backside with a cricket bat would be being kind. Eventually got taken down when he realised it was showing inep marksmanship

actually I think a version of it is in his video links page on his website but I don't think it has the injured one crawling off on any more

Im still waiting for my invite, he told me about it a long while ago but it was £20 for a few hours so i havent bothered to go there yet, i can shoot 1000yrds on one of my permissions is need be so i saved the money for ammo instead.

I might pop over for a chat but leave rifles at home..

Phil.

Was it really as bad as that? Not just a video of a night out that didn't have the mishaps edited out?

One thing I like about Al is he's honest. He doesn't hide the down sides of things which is more than can be said for a lot of dealers!

EDIT... It would be good to see you if you can make it Phil
