Seems to me that enough people on here have had first hand bad experience of this shop, says it all really and quite right to out such a negative approach by the owner and staff alike,i have used building suppiers with the same attitude and dont use them again and i tell others of thier bad service, for that is the way and right to,every management course i have been on hammers it into you that the customer comes first and that if you do really well they will tell five people and if you are bad they will tell twenty FACT.

Running my own company ALL my customers are treated with respect and get my personal attention to solve anything to their satisfaction,i have a lot of customers now who leave me their keys, recomend me to their friends, nothing is to much trouble to keep my customers coming back to me,i dont quote for most of my work just get on with it as soon as i have a date for them and they pay on completion, simples :look: .

Thankfully my local gun shop has an owner who has the same values as me,he always has time for his customers,is full of free advice and could not have been anymore help when i first got into the sport  so quess where i buy all my gear from.

Easy answer don't go in the shop ever again. Use someone else.

You couldn't find a nicer more helpful bloke than Chris at Norfolk Sporting Guns in Wymondham. He is an excellent gunsmith and knows his job inside out.

Norfolk Sporting Guns

this is where i go majority of the time, always get a fair deal here, never bother asking for discount, he always gives something off if the price seems to much, also one of the best shops to go to for good trade in prices.

Very helpful man is chris tanner, has spent many an hour going thru stuff with me about calibre choices etc.

It's a shame that the level of service in churchills seems to fluctuate so much, i've been in there a few times over the years and usually got a good deal, it's only in the last 2 years that things seem to have changed there, it's a shame really cos there's quite a bit to choose from. I personnally know one of the sales reps in there and i consider him a good friend, big shame.

Been to nelsons quite a bit, chris is a good chap but very forgetful, this gets up a lot of peoples noses but he's a busy man, i tend to think that if i need it in a hurry or if it's exotic then i;ll go to NSG, if i don't mind waiting for a while or arranging it myself then i tend to deal with chris at nelsons.

i know its a little off the subject, but talking about judging a book by its cover....

Many moons ago i used to be a barman, (and a damn good one :good: ). One of the regulars used to come in straight from work. He was a mechanic for the Ambulance service, and a scruffy get. Always covered in oil, and sorting out foreigners for sunday. I used to think this guy must have some bills to pay, all the hours he spent on cars. I got talking to his regular drinking buddy one day, and it turned out the guy, although still worked, had won big money on the lottery a few years before. So, one afternoon, he came in as usual, ordered his pint and we got talking about cars. He told me that his dad was a bit of a ****** to him when he was a kid, and they never had a car. All he ever wanted was a car to play with, as he lived for engines and motors. Rather than sit at home all day earning intrest on his win, he kept working as his job meant people got to hospital on time, and he still got to play with and fix engines. Goes to show dont it.

Sorry for the derailment, back one thread. :good:
