ferretmanabu
What's your advice on pigeon magnets. There seems to be a fair few on ukshootwarehouse ranging from 65 to 200 quid. Weight is not really an issue cos I like lugging heavy rucksacks around. What's the difference and in your experience/opinion which ones are best? I don't think I can stretch to the 200 quid ones. kirky640
pigeon magnets r great arent they!!!! i bought 2 from ebay one was 50 quid plus 10 quid postage the other 47 quid and postage the same they came with small battery ready to use and have had no probs with them. kirkys tip for a longer lasting magnet battery go to ur nearest scrapy and buy a small car battery with a carry handle and paint it green these small batterys are often found in micras and such like small cars and will go all day long even on those long summers days

lurcherboy
Ferretmanabu,I have the lightweight mate. Don't think I will go back to using the old one as this one works just fine. Done a good deal on that and a flapper. The flapper is worth the money alone and has been improved with the addition of the remote I recently bought. LB LB I have the ultra light magnet and my mate has the same one but his is a lot faster than mine, Some times i wish mine was faster i could always put the speed control on to slow it down if required. I agree with you i can not see me going back to the heavy ones again. :*) :*)

It's a wiper motor that works at different speeds and this is dictated by how you connect the wiring. LB

Will Beasley
Only the "Wiper motor" type machines have the two selectable speeds. As Hawkeye's is the Ultra-lightweight which uses a radically different motor there'll be no multi plug!! Hawkeye you have a PM regarding this. Cheers, Will.
