barrie0 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Share Posted November 22, 2005 I take it LB that you are using a bittorent client ie bitcomet or bittorrent , if they are working on other bittorent files then it may just be that the river cottage links are dead links at the moment ie no seeders or leechers . Or if none work are you running a router or firewall that may be stopping your bittorent client as sometimes you have to open "ports" to get bittorent to run properley or sometimes some bittorent links are only open to members of the website who have the bittorent file link. Have a look here for some basic faqs http://www.infoanarchy.org/wiki/wiki.pl?BitTorrent_FAQ I was confused when first using bittorent but find it invalubale now for downloading . If you are going to be downloading stuff you also should be running this at the same time http://phoenixlabs.org/ .It keeps prying eyes away if you know what I mean . Regarding firewalls, I have Mcfee, but if somthing in/out going is detected, it always shows a pop-up and asks if I want to continue. I have done the lifetime fee to Bit Comet.
