proTOM1
Ive been watching my peas for weeks with no luck but with them now in flower thought would take a look this afternoon .Arrived at 1 of the fields to find around 50 on the wires and a good 100 on the peas ,watched them for about 20 mins then setup well out in to the field under tele pole . Setup rotary and that was it ,waited around 15 mins for the first bird then it was steady till 4pm then they came like mad for the next hour . Had to packup at 5.30 due to having things to do but was good while i was there . Shot and picked 87, thing was could not find my camra so no pics this time ,will be looking at the other fields tomorrow So if anyone is is having a hard time of it on there peas just keep watching them as it could soon pay off

Is this when they start getting interested again? The farm I've got permisison for has peas in but it just looks like grass right now with not a pigeon in sight. We're a couple of weeks behind you guys so I'll get out and keep my eyes open for the next while, hopefuly things will pick up! Nial

Nial It all depends on what sort of peas you have really as mine are vine peas they tend to really get stuck in now and when they go to pod ,where as on another farm my mate shoots his peas are combine peas and he has been getting some double hundred bags with his best being 248 which he shot on monday . I have never had a year like this 1 tho as normaly i get some good bags in the early stages of growth but not this year ,hopefully this is now the time to start bagging some good days ! Like i said tho just keep having a look ,i tend to look most days just incase

I've got the week off so will check if they are in flower, they sure are low still?
activeviii
I did ok in the end. let a friend take the shots for an hour, he had to go so i called stripey over who was struggling and let him have the floor for a while as well. i have 51 on clicker that i shot. after working out how long i had gun in my hand it was 3 hours and the only birds i clicked where birds that dropped in within the field i was in. if i pricked them and they got over the hedge then they didnt go on the clicker. taking bobby dazzler over there tomorrow. still a fair few birds around there. TOM can you stop putting your shot count up because im so hating you at the moment.hehe Phil
