Lloyd90 Posted June 13, 2010 Report Share Posted June 13, 2010 For an inexperienced handler you want a dog with a bit of go in it but not too much as without the know how and experience of what to do with them they quicker lose control. Some people will want a very hot dog say for trialing where they can train it to a very high standard, if you just want a dog to sit in the hide and retrieve the odd pigeon then you dont want a dog thats nuts, If you want a dog to trial then you want one with TONS of energy, to work ground well flush and retrieve with style and speed so you want a very hot dog for that.
