Nelly T
I am after some advice here from people who use dog transit crates/boxes, I am having a look around at the moment a clearly prices and quality vary alot. I am after a decent (no rattles) crate big enough for a couple of Springers, it wont stay in the car (Disco 3) all the time so needs to be fairly lightweight and easy to wash out. Merlin products seem to have a decent range of alluminium boxes, around £250+. If anybody has any reccomendations I would be interested to hear your views. Dirty Harry
I got one from ebay for £90. It's big enough for my GWP and terrier and can be removed easily. If you want one that does not rattle get one where the metalwork is coated in plastic. Friends of mine have a soft fabric crate for their Vizla. It's quite good if your dogs are not chewers. Sprocket
Look on Ebay for a Trans K9 box. Look under "Dog transit boxes" - You'll see agood selection. You can get a Top quality cage for approx £150 ~ £200. You definately won,t be disappointed with the the product - probably one of the best. Only downside is -You may have to travel to get one. gdunc
TransK9 are excellent, I have one myself, but if it is to be lifted in and out regularly they're a bit of a pain due to their weight. It's not unmanageable but due to their size the weight can be an issue for moving the box. Lintran are a good alternative and are a good bit lighter and made of fibreglass so easy ot hose out. Seem to come up quite cheap on fleebay quite often too.

WGD
I have a TK9 box in my pickup that fits a Disco 3; it is a tremendous piece of kit and in spite of the weight i wouldn't buy any other type of box.
