eddoakley
Just bought me a hmr :yp: Its the heavy(varmint) barrell but its shortere than the ones you suggest. Its just a weight issue, the heat dispersal etc doesnt come into it unless you are firing loads of rounds. If you dont mind the extra weight the heavy barrell is supposed to be more accurate but i've never found any difference when i've used both in the past.......... No need in any respect for field guns to be heavy, especially rimfires, simply a matter of personal choice, I'm a tart, mine are all light and all work!! ATB!!
