BountyHunter
Actually, don't worry I just checked out the Review Center and it got a pretty crappy result overall. Thanks BH
kdubya
Actually, don't worry I just checked out the Review Center and it got a pretty crappy result overall. Thanks BH shame that because as a 12lb gun I reckon it cant be beaten? I have recently sold mine (went solely fac) and I truly could not fault the gun it was extremely accurate (once I found which pellet it like very pellet fusssy?) cocking mech was faultless loading the mags was a piece of (and you are supplied with two) @ 14 shots each you cant double load and with the new silencer its litterally whisper quiet far far better build than the daystate x 2 I had and got rid of and that all the reviews reckon are fantastic (lying ****) had I not gone fac ie needed 30 and 40lbs witha high shot count I would have kept it/ funny thing is the guy who bought thinks I was mad selling it and he thinks its fantastic? yep them reviews will be right and honest? cheers KW
BountyHunter
Hmm that's interesting, I found it hard to swallow that a Weihrauch would have anything other than supurb engineering. There were a number of quotes regarding shoddy construction and poor mechanics. Maybe it was a bandwagon onto which people felt compelled to jump? BH look its not in "british airgun" mags etc to promote the HW 100? I bought the daystate x2 on hype 500 odd quid of shoody, poor quality control, british engineering. that was inconsistent staring to rust was awkward to cock heavy overly long and surprisinly hated the datstate pellets made for it? like everything in life try before you buy? I ended up with rapids ? why easy and very pointav ble guns made like the proverbial house not overly long not heavy bloody reliable yet some reviews slate em? cheers KW
BountyHunter
Is review centre associated with the comics then? BH
Enzo
BountyHunter, if you can log on have a look on airgunnBBS. Lot more sensible on the review front. I own one (.22) and a Daystate MK3 RT. Bit like having an Aston and Merc - English or Kraut, your choice? Both excellent guns though. roblade
off topic i know but snakebite, if the S4** has the new trigger mounted safety then no the adaptor wont be the same, as they changed it the same time as the new chequering and safety. back on topic. the HW100 is a pretty good rifle, but then all PCP rifles are. the only two rifles that i tell people to stay away from are: GUNPOWER STEALTH LOGUN GLADIATOR All the other PCP rifles out there its purly down to personal preferenc and costs. the HW100 is probably one of the heavier rifles out there if your looking for a rifle for the field, cant remeber if its regulated or not but you still have a good few number of. the only thing i dont like about it is the lack of a quick fill adaptor, the cylinder has to be fully removed before it can be re filled, but then again this means you can buy a spare cylinder and always have a fully charged one ready to go, so there are good and bad about everything. guess you could say its a good solid rifle that wont let you down when you need it. 1 of 5
Actually, don't worry I just checked out the Review Center and it got a pretty crappy result overall. Thanks BH The problem with Reviewcentre is that the bulk of people posting will be complainants (people with good experiences don't make the effort) and the bulk of those will have zero experience of the product genre with which to compare their experiences. I've rarely found the Reviewcentre useful. The HW100 is superbly engineered. It has two bad points though 1 No quickfill - you can get a modified tube from Venom or BAR but that ups the cost 2 It's ugly as sin though that's certainly an oppinion and not a fact Other than that it's a superb gun and is built to high standards. The first ones had a bonded "silencer" that was poor. Newer ones are screw cut and have a superb silencer as std. It is regged Rob. BountyHunter
Hmm dunno, there is one for sale on BAR but at £430 it is WAY out of my budget. BH
