Dibs
I injured my shoulder a little while back and its still recovering. To ease the recoil situation whilst it heals I have bought a semi auto for use on clays for the forseable. I have never shot one on the clays before and wondered how a jam is treated in Sporting, for example you call and then have a jam on the first or second bird. I suspect this is marked as a miss as opposed to a no bird?
beretta
you will get pair again if first bird or repeat second as normal if second shot jams. if it keeps happening you will lose targets but by then there is something wrong with the gun or carts anyway. paulos
Make sure that you don't unjam it before the ref has had a look though or he will dock you the point
Anni
Happens to me very rarely, but just show the reff the jam and you will be fine. I find eley cartridges to be the best through an auto.
paulos
Also, if the target is a 'single' and you miss it with your first shot, with the gun jamming on the second - when taking it again, you must deliberately miss it with your first shot and try to hit it with your second. DSPUK
Paulos That happened to me on DTL - it's quite hard to deliberately miss as you are fired up to hit with first shot. Dave
paulos
Tell me about it dave! I had to in ABT once - what a bizarre feeling it is trying to miss deliberately!
