fielddweller
Hi Could someone help with this,i have just got one of these and was wandering. 1.How long an interval between flaps and how long a duration for the flaps,to try and attract birds? 2.If birds were in the air on the field how long again? Many thanks Fielddweller
Cranfield
I will give it a flap or two at birds in the distance, or birds that look as though they are passing by and occasionally, just a flap for the fun of it.. Avoid flapping too much, too often, or it looks like a bird in distress.
nobby63
Ive taken the other approach left my flapper running constant and even replaced the motor from 60:1 to 100:1 rotation as its supposed to replicate a landing bird ! had great success . steve_b_wales
I have an intermittent timer attached to mine. It flaps 18 times, then switches off for about 7 seconds. I can alter the timing to suit, but, for crows, it works brilliant, as they think the 'bird' is wounded.
