Vipa
Mornin' boys and girls..... Just putting the feelers out here! As you may or may not know, gun ownership in my household has always been a bone of contention... I was gobsmacked when the better half agreed to let me buy my guns after 3 years of trying and failing when I wanted to get back into the sport after a 15 year break! Anyhoo..... My guns are causing issues....again... and whilst I love my shooting, I also love my wife and don't want anything to put a strain on our friendship soooooooo..... After pouring over this for quite some time I think the best option might be for me to sell up and get my best mate back again!! So.... if anyone is interested...... Beretta SV10 12g with Kick Off, 3-4 months old, as new with less than 500 carts through, cased with all chokes, tools, books plus Beretta field slip and I'll throw in 250 carts & cleaning bits too. - £1.799 ovno 6.5x55SE Tikka T3 Lite Stainless with black synthetic stock, Factory screwcut, as new, 50 factory rounds through her. Complete with Predator 8 mod & S&B 8x56 (H), stainless Optilock rings and bases, all 2-3 months old. I have also upgraded the bolt handle to a CNC machined oversize and she also has an alloy bolt shroud rather than the stock plastic one (both shipped in from Oz at a cost of £200!!!) Will also throw in a Dokosport semi rigid rifle case, specific bore guide and, if your ticket allows, 2 boxes of Federal Powershok 140gn worth £30 each plus some cleaning bits and bobs worth a few quid!. - £1,300 ovno, will split if necessary but would rather sell as a package. approx £2k worth! Prefeably (by far) both face to face or will RFD to RFD at your expense if necessary (and if I can work out how to do the paperwork!) if doing RFD-RFD can't send the ammo or the carts. Any questions just ask, I will post pics once I have a gauge of interest but both items are literally as they would be if you bought them brand new from a dealer, probably better as I am pretty anal when it comes to looking after my stuff! Chard
Sorry to hear that, chap. I hope she realises what a tolerant husband she's got. I've left two wives for less that that Pity the Perennia's not a Prevail without the kick-off
apache
Have you tried taking her to shoot some clays - might win her round?
Vipa
Sorry to hear that, chap. I hope she realises what a tolerant husband she's got. I've left two wives for less that that Pity the Perennia's not a Prevail without the kick-off Still love the old girl even after 13 years and she's still my best mate, shooting is fun but not so much fun that I'm willing to strain our friendship (no fun living with someone you doin't like any more.... been there!) problem isn't that she doesn't like shooting (she doesn't but that's not the problem) The problem is that she is absolutely terrified of the guns (irrational I know) to the point where she physically shakes if she sees them!!! totally bizarre.... I eventually got permission on the understanding that she wouldn't see them etc.. but she is even getting to the point where she is reluctant to go into the bedroom, which is where the cab is inside a wardrobe! Anyhooooo... no great loss.... losing the friendship of the wife...... that would be a great loss!! Did get to handle the Prevail when I bought the Perennia but it was so damned heavy!!! The Kick off system is incredible, you don't know it's there, it just works... flawlessly, and personally I could probable put 2000 shells through her in a session and not feel it in the shoulder!! My cheek might complain a little though

I agree that you can't have the old lass quaking at the thought of them in the house, but I'd have thought there ought to be a solution somewhere

I've made my decision in my mind now... shooting is great but it isn't the be-all & end all for me, I have other hobbies and pass-times... certainly won't be wanting for something to do!!! Harnser
The best solution to your problem would be to send her to me for a week in Norfolk . I will teach her how to behave like a good dutiful wife and how to clean guns . The only problem is she proberbly wont want to come back . Harnser .
