southwest_colonel
Are there any particular type of clays you want to do? Predominantly English sporting or one of the trap disciplines? What's the price? If you can find a multi-choked version (they are available), then you're sorted. Harnser
A multi choke gun will serve you better and double for game and clays . Harnser .
apache
You could fairly easily get the 3/4 opened up to half choke an do most things with the gun. Think it's only about £50?

Edward
I have a lincoln premier which I use for game and clays. Mine a multi choke and I put 1/4 and 1/2 in the day I got it and I left it like that. I think 1/4 and 1/2 is the most universal chokes

jimmyb79
They have chrome barrels so may not be to easy to open up Chromed barrels aren't an issue for opening up, as said any gunsmith should do it for you for around £50 per barrel. I did this with a 20b I owned which was fixed at 1/4 and 3/4 and opened the top barrel to 1/2. The main reason was that I wanted to shoot steel shot through it for duck etc during the season and 3/4 is far too tight for steel. If you want to use your gun for anything that requires steel shot, you'll need it opening up on the top barrel to at least 1/2.
