How to model your bag - Essex Style

Went out this afternoon with a mate who I can only assume was working undercover for the RSPB. Normally an Essex hot shot, it was agreed that Evil Elvis might have out shot him today. After a shaky start we swapped guns and he was back on the usual form.

Anyway, having missed most of what came overhead he was only too pleased to be a model for the photos.

Enjoy !

:welcomeani: Must have been a pube blown up from his action!!!!

Nice bag lads ....whats the tally? 65-70? :hmm:

We thinned down the bag in the photos so we didnt look like show offs Baz  :)

My retriever (pictured lying down) kept the tally and won the big money sweepstake - which I still owe him for.

Cracking afternoon out although I shot like a total homo. Mind you, ME being the gentleman he is joined in with some poor shooting, presumably to make me feel less embarassed.

Interestingly, ME had been doing a bit of "reading and a learnin" from posts off here (notably a thank you to Catamong of all people) and was in charge of pattern / rotary design - and it worked like a treat.

After a false start on some neighbouring rape stubble we moved to a flight line I had my eye on. We were set up on the flightline between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the actually retrieved head count was just shy of a ton but there were well over a dozen birds that couldn't be retrieved.

The worst bit is that we missed as many as we hit, if not more  :hmm:

I did wedsnesday evening with DangerousDave the other night and missed 3 that you could have batted out of the sky with your stock but was hammering all the rangey stuff..........one of the downfalls of using very tight chokes i guess. :)

Indeed, a very pleasant afternoon. We only needed more beer and some hookers and it would have been perfect.

My shooting was as consistent as ever and my shoulder is aching like a bitch today.

Baz, camo is for homos. Imagine how many we would have got if we didnt give them a chance :welcomeani:
