ricky green
when to 1 of my regular farms for a look around as the farmer has lost a few chickens to a fox over the last couple of weeks but aint bin able to get the little t£%".well anyway had a good shine about there but no foxes were seem. so at that point i decided to call it a night and head for home and have an early ish night.Well on the way home i have to pass two fields where i can shoot, when i passed the gate to the fields was open,so i decided to have a swift look in there. So i jumped out off the truck shone the lamp around and hey ho!! a pair of eyes on the far hedge .so off with the lamp, out with the rifle, loaded up walk up the field a bit, light on and yep you geussed no eyes, .in the rush i had not picked up my calls i useally use,(wam caller). .so anyway found a home made one in my other pocket so gave it a few blows, and there are two set of eyes ,the first pair decided it sounded like supper and came running. :o he was shot at about 30ish yards.the other made a run for a big wood the other side of the field and dissapered. A few sqeeks later and it was interested again, and he was shot a about 120ish yards they were both dog foxes, this years cubs, start to finish it took no more than ten minits,so the early night was still on.
